The Mactan Export Processing Zone I, one of the most successful zones in the Philippines, has proved beyond doubt the viability of the Mactan-Cebu area. Now, MEPZ 2 offers new locators the same opportunity to capitalize on these new conditions. ACOLand, a member of the highly successful Aboitiz group of companies, is developing and operating the zone under the Build-Operate-Transfer scheme (BOT) for the landowner, Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) The zone is regulated by a government body, the Philippine Economic Zone Authority.
